Liverpool Lawyer Celebrates 50 Years in Practice
A Liverpool solicitor has reached the milestone of achieving 50
years in practice, making him one of the most experienced lawyers
in the city.
Brian Morris, 81, who has been a consultant at leading Liverpool
law firm EAD Solicitors for many years, was admitted on 11 April
1961.
Since then, he has developed a breadth of knowledge in all
aspects of commercial property and licensing as well as extensive
experience in dealing with planning disputes.
Said EAD's senior partner, Mike Sexton: "Brian is an absolute
legend at EAD - he is really highly regarded by his fellow
solicitors for his legal knowledge. We would all like to
congratulate him on reaching his legal half century!"
Brian was born in Liverpool and his family has been in the city
for four generations. He started his working life in the family's
grocers business on Smithdown Road, then went away to sea before
entering the legal profession at the age of 31. As well as working
full time, he manages to maintain an active social life, with
hobbies including an interest in tall ships, hiking, dancing, fine
dining and cross-country skiing.
Said Brian, who still lives in South Liverpool: "I've kept
working because I enjoy it - the law is an interesting life. It's
not about mass production - I've got some client relationships that
are 40 or 50 years old. For me, job satisfaction is more important
than money; my father worked till he was 81 and it's the best way
to survive!"
