About Charles

I became a Partner in the Wills and Probate Department at EAD Solicitors in 1993 and also act as a Professional Deputy in Court of Protection matters, advising lay deputies and their families in looking after the affairs of persons suffering a disability, whether they are elderly relatives or claimants in medical negligence or catastrophic injury claims. I have dealt with several of these cases where settlements have been up to several million pounds in value. I also act for claimants and defendants in inheritance disputes and endeavours to deal with such matters sensitively and pragmatically. In addition to all this I am also the firm’s money laundering officer.

Greatest Professional Achievement

Being instrumental in founding our Court of Protection and Deputyship Section of our Private Client Department, which offers a first class service to the Elderly Clients of our Department and Clients under a disability, which has been so well served by our Clinical Negligence and P.I. Departments in securing substantial payments of compensation.

Greatest Personal Achievement

Running my first Marathon at the age of 61 and thus, at last fulfilling a lifetime’s ambition.

After Work

When not in the office it is often the case that despite my feigned protests I am being put upon, looking after and playing with my five grandsons.
