About James

James joined EAD as a solicitor in September 2017 and specialises in commercial property and company law working closely with several commercial lenders. He undertakes work in the following areas:

  1. Purchases and sales of commercial property and development land
  2. All aspects of non-contentious landlord and tenant matters
  3. Securitisation work
  4. Business purchases and sales
  5. Share purchases and sales
  6. Shareholders’ agreements
  7. Drafting of bespoke commercial agreements


James graduated from Manchester Metropolitan University with a 2:1 in Law before achieving a distinction on the Legal Practice Course in 2008. He then spent several years living overseas where he set up a recruitment company introducing English teachers to schools across South Korea. He returned to England in 2014 and carried out his training contract at a highly regarded North West firm.

After work

In his free time James enjoys playing football and squash. Away from sport he enjoys reading, listening to music and studying Korean.
