About Joanne

I started with EAD in 1992 and have worked within the industrial disease department for over 10 years.  My areas of work include noise-induced deafness, asbestos related illness, vibration white finger and accidents at work.  I have a particular interest in asbestos cases and working practices

Greatest Professional Achievement

Various cases have stuck with me over the years. In particular an asbestos case for a local gentleman. It was a complicated case with upwards of 10 defendants and required a high level of organisational skills. The case was eventually settled and the client used his compensation to purchase a caravan in Wales. I often wonder if he is enjoying his caravan!

Greatest Personal Achievement

My teenage sons, who I have raised as a single parent.

After Work

I enjoy spending time with my family and my sons, who keep my very busy with their many interests ranging from gaming, go-karting, motor racing and trains! Whenever I can catch some time to myself you will find me enjoying the quieter things in life
