Can I claim by myself?

You can handle the claim on your own, but it means completing all the necessary paperwork yourself as well as chasing the airline to respond to your claim. This is not what we recommend.

I started a claim by myself but I’m getting nowhere, can I still start my claim with EAD Solicitors?

EAD can take control of your claim at any stage. Many people claiming on their own are often fobbed off by airlines who tell them that they’re not entitled to compensation when they are.

Can I claim for other passengers I travelled with, such as friends and family?

You can claim for friends and family members who were on the flight, you will need their documentation but you can manage their claim. You can’t claim for children who did not have their own seat on the plane.

How long does it take?

There is no set timescale for flight claims. Each case is different and requires negotiation between ourselves and the airline. Some cases settle quicker than others, but on average it is quicker to start your claim with us than by yourself. We will issue a warning with the airline in question and if there is no response we will begin court proceedings.

How much will it cost me?

There are no upfront costs and we operate claims under a strict no win no fee basis. Once you have signed a contingency fee agreement, when compensation is recovered from the airline we will take 25% (plus VAT) from the damages we have obtained.
