Leave a Charitable Legacy in your Will
A will enables you to ensure that your estate is divided up as you would want it to be after your death. Many leave the majority of their wealth to loved ones such as close friends and family. However, some leave a gift or share of their estate to a charity, some people leave their entire fortune to a charity they are passionate about, and perhaps have had a lot of involvement with during their lifetime.
The work that charities do relies heavily on donations from the public. So if there is a charity you believe provides a vital service, whether they provide aid for the elderly, children, animals or the poor, a donation left in your will can help them continue to help others.
EAD Solicitors take part in charitable schemes such as Will Aid, during the month of November. Under this scheme we write your will and instead of paying us you make a donation to charity (please note that this is only for the selected charities included under the Will Aid scheme). We are also members of the charity ‘Remember a Charity’, a charity that raises awareness about leaving charitable legacies in wills.
If you decide that you want to leave a gift to charity in your will, no matter how big or small, it all contributes towards a cause that is helping others, and in some cases it reduced the tax bill on your death. If you are thinking about writing a will, or if you want to alter an existing will, take a moment to consider a charitable legacy.
For more information on writing wills or amending your will to include a charitable legacy, contact our Liverpool based wills and probate department. Call us on 0151 735 1000 or request a call back and one of our will writing solicitors will call you.

What others say about us
Extremely happy with the outcome of my Personal Injury Claim and can only thank Paul McCarthy and his team at EAD Solicitors and also Tim Trotman my barrister arranged by EAD, for all their work and efforts on my behalf. As such I would highly recommend EAD to anyone in need of their service. Once again thanks to all involved.
